Amity’s Nursery and Day Care has provided quality child care in Chapel Hill for over 45 years and is well on its way to achieving Five Star status. Featuring enhanced child-teacher ratios, the Day Care offers a full-time and part-time program for children ages 2 ½ - 5.

Amity’s Preschool is throwing a family Thanksgiving luncheon and YOU ARE ALL invited to attend! The luncheon begins at 11:00 a.m. in Heiser Fellowship Hall (11/20). Experiencing the joy and fellowship of these precious children of God is a wonderfully appropriate and blessed way to honor the spirit of Thanksgiving.

The Preschool staff would be especially grateful if some of those joining them for dinner would help serve the food. Let’s show the preschool that they are an important part of Amity’s ministry by joining them on Friday. Please notify Kim Batson in the church office by 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18 if you may be able to attend and/or if you will can help serve.

	Children 2 1/2 - 5 years old (must be potty trained)
	Full day: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
	Half day: 7:30 am - 12:30 pm

Vicki Price Named New Director

The Amity Preschool Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Victoria LaShannon Price on September 15, 2009 as Preschool Director. Since assuming the role of interim director this summer, Vicki’s enthusiasm and expertise have helped revitalize our program.

Under her leadership and with the assistance of her capable team, the Preschool launched its own website and enjoyed a hugely successful open house. Enrollment has increased nearly 100%, to a healthy 43. While legal capacity is 50, optimal capacity is 48. Our numbers had declined following the graduation last May of 23 children bound for Kindergarten.

We are delighted with Vicki’s efforts, attitude and ability and we wish her much success in this new endeavor.
